(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of April 12, the City Civil Servants' Union held a Conference of Key Officials, reviewing the work of the first quarter and deploying tasks for the second quarter of 2024.

At the Conference, delegates carried out the process of voting to introduce additional members to the Executive Committee of the Civil Servants' Trade Union, term V, 2023 - 2028; listened to the report on the summary of the Trade Union's activities in the first quarter, and deployed key tasks in the second quarter of 2024.

The City Civil Servants' Trade Union currently has 54 grassroots trade unions, with a total of 6,394 civil servants and employees. 97.8% of civil servants and employees are mainly in the administrative sector and public service units, so jobs, salaries, social insurance, health insurance, etc. are basically guaranteed, and their material and spiritual lives are taken care of.

In the first quarter of 2024, the City Civil Servants' Union completed the proposed programs and plans, and some grassroots unions were creative and flexible in organizing activities at the grassroots level. Notably, by organizing the Tet Sum vay - Xuan chia chia program, the City Civil Servants' Union gave gifts to 273 union members in difficult circumstances with a total amount of VND 271 million. Participating in the organization of the "Warm Spring in the Highlands" program, giving coats to children, giving solar bulbs to schools, giving gifts to union members of the Civil Servants' Union with serious illnesses in Dien Bien province with a total value of nearly VND 56.5 million. Participating in the "Sticky Rice, Sweet Soup" cooking contest organized by the City Labor Federation, the City Civil Servants' Union won the first prize for the collective and 22 individual prizes.

The City Civil Servants' Trade Union launched a patriotic emulation movement, signed an emulation agreement in 4 emulation blocks, and guided grassroots trade unions to register for emulation targets in 2024. Launched the emulation movement "Good worker, Creative worker"; "Good at public work, good at housework", "Green, Clean, Beautiful, Ensuring occupational safety and hygiene", "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in the activities of the Trade Union organization"; "Good advice, good service"...

In the second quarter of 2024, the City Civil Servants' Trade Union will implement the Plan for "Workers' Month" and "Occupational Safety and Hygiene Month" in 2024; organize the 20th Anniversary of the Founding of the City Civil Servants' Trade Union (May 19, 2004 - May 19, 2024); organize the 2nd Competition for Excellent Grassroots Trade Union Officials; implement the Plan for organizing cultural and sports activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union;... and many other important contents.
