With an open space on the modern architectural background of the Provincial Library, the Giap Thin Spring Book and Newspaper Fair 2024 introduces to viewers more than 1,000 newspaper and magazine publications and thousands of documents artistically shaped, aesthetically and scientifically arranged, promising to become a meaningful destination for people and tourists during the days welcoming the New Year.

The spaces are arranged in a series with 3 themes: "Communist Party of Vietnam - Historical mission and political mettle"; "Vietnamese Tet" and "Quang Ninh Imprint 2023".

The Giap Thin 2024 Spring Book and Newspaper Fair is a gathering place for unique and vivid Spring publications of Central departments, ministries and branches, and special publications of press agencies across the country. Tet book and newspaper publications include: nearly 100 Central newspaper publications; Spring newspapers of 62 provinces and cities nationwide; typical Spring newspapers and press publications of the Provincial Media Center and Quang Ninh Journalists Association. Along with hundreds of books on the topics of the Party, Uncle Ho, Quang Ninh homeland, Tet customs...

The Provincial Journalists Association also edited and printed images of Quang Ninh province's outstanding achievements in 2023 to display at the Giap Thin Spring Book and Newspaper Fair 2024.

The new feature this year is that the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association has coordinated with the Provincial Library and the People's Committees of localities to organize the Giap Thin Spring Press Festival 2024 in 13 localities across the province. In Ha Long city alone, there are 3 locations including the Provincial Library, the Provincial Post Office and the Inter-Agency Headquarters No. 4.

In conjunction with the Book Fair, Spring Newspaper, the Provincial Journalists Association, the Provincial Media Center, the People's Newspaper Office in Quang Ninh and its branches and inter-branch associations have also contributed funds to organize social and charitable activities such as: Donating computers to Dam Ha District Library; giving scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties to study well; donating 1,000 pairs of socks to students in mountainous areas; giving Tet gifts to families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Dai Loc District (Quang Nam Province)...

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association Mai Vu Tuan affirmed: Through the Spring Book and Newspaper Festival, the Organizing Committee wishes to bring to the public a panoramic view of the country's achievements in the fields of politics, economy, culture, society, national defense, security, the achievements of Quang Ninh province with the mark of 60 years of construction and development; ... along with the cultural identities, customs, traditions of the nation, contributing to spreading good values, creating trust and excitement for people and tourists on the occasion of welcoming the new year.

The Spring Book and Newspaper Fair at the Provincial Library takes place from February 3, 2024 to March 1, 2024 (ie December 24 to January 21).
