At the conference, Chairwoman of the Quang Tri Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education Duong Thi Hai Yen informed the association officials and members of the Association for the Promotion of Education at all levels about the following contents: General Secretary To Lam's article on "Lifelong Learning" and the propaganda orientation to implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam; Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation strategies; Decree No. 126/2024/ND-CP dated October 8, 2024 of the Government regulating the organization, operation and management of the association; some contents and plans to organize the thematic seminar "Green Education Promotion".

General Secretary To Lam's speech on "Lifelong Learning" emphasized: The scientific and technological revolution has been taking place strongly on a global scale, creating a huge transformation in social life, posing new requirements, new needs, new tasks, new thoughts, new actions for every Vietnamese citizen, especially for cadres and party members of the political system on the path of building and defending the socialist Fatherland, especially making the most of opportunities, taking shortcuts, bringing the country firmly into the era of development, prosperity, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

To successfully carry out the requirements, tasks and responsibilities in the new period, the need for a political system that dares to think, speak, act, take responsibility and sacrifice for the common good, to become useful people is an urgent requirement for each individual and each citizen, especially cadres and employees in the political system.

Building a socialist society and a socialist democracy can only be successful when each citizen is aware of his or her own responsibility for self-improvement; each cadre and party member is always aware that socialization is a revolutionary task with a serious attitude and high self-awareness. Through socialization, we can realize our responsibility for building and defending the Fatherland in each specific period and time...

Every citizen needs to constantly study political theory, expertise, profession, methods, work experience and the ability to coordinate in a collective to improve organizational discipline, labor productivity and promote the combined strength; every cadre and party member needs to learn about the qualifications of a revolutionary cadre, learn from books, learn from each other and learn from the People; constantly self-study, self-update new knowledge, actively participate in the "digital learning" movement, popularize and improve knowledge of science and technology, digital knowledge; actively propagate and mobilize relatives, families and clans to self-study. Through self-study, all tasks assigned by the Party, the revolution and the People can be completed.

Each Party Committee, socio-political organization, and professional association must clearly understand that the main goal of the training program is to develop socialist people, thereby determining the content of the training program for cadres, Party members, and members in conjunction with launching emulation, evaluation, commendation, and rewards. The Party and State will soon summarize, evaluate, research, issue regulations and procedures, innovate evaluation perspectives, screen, and plan the staff, in order to build a complete, clean, strong public authority apparatus that wholeheartedly serves the People.

The conference contributed to raising awareness of cadres and members of the Association for Promotion of Learning at all levels about the Green Growth Strategy, building a green society, and the importance of the Green Growth Strategy for the sustainable development of society on the basis of thoroughly understanding the Government's guiding views in building a green nation, a green economy, green education, and promoting green learning, contributing to the country's development in the digital age.

On this occasion, the President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education presented the "For the Cause of Promoting Education" medal to 14 officials and members; presented certificates of merit to 13 groups and 13 individuals who have made many contributions to the work of promoting education, promoting talents, and building a learning society. The Provincial Association for Promoting Education awarded the second round of SEEDS scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year to 44 students and 17 university students with a total value of nearly 510 million VND.
