Recently, the American digital publication islands.com has listed Vietnam among the top 5 best countries in Asia to experience Lunar New Year tourism. At the same time, this publication also stated that Hoi An is one of the most ideal destinations in Vietnam to experience the New Year's Eve.

Hoi An New Year's Eve is truly captivating for those who want to experience the nostalgic taste of Tet. As a tradition, the space for singing Bai Choi near An Hoi Bridge quickly attracted a large number of locals and tourists to participate right from the first performances.

Both a traditional Tet game and a unique cultural feature, Bai Choi in Central Vietnam, of which Hoi An is a typical representative, has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The unique melodies mixed with a bit of humor conquered everyone's hearty laughter, in a moment bringing the space of the street back to the old Tet seasons.

Experiencing the traditional New Year in Hoi An for the first time during his trip to Vietnam, David (from the UK) shared: “My family and I celebrated New Year's Eve in Hoi An after traveling in Ha Giang - Sapa and Hanoi. The New Year's Eve atmosphere in Hoi An is wonderful, combining both excitement and tranquility. A memorable memory of New Year's Eve in Hoi An is that we won the Bai Choi game on our first try.”

On the Hoai River, the lantern lights from hundreds of boats blend with the lights of flower lanterns to create a magical scene, captivating the hearts of visitors.

Strangely enough, these are also the spring-symbolizing songs, but when the melody is played from somewhere in an ancient house, it evokes in the listener not only joy but also a bit of heart-wrenching excitement.

Is that one of the precious moments that makes many international travel information sites compare Hoi An to a destination possessing timeless beauty - "where time stands still"?!

The clock slowly ticks towards New Year's Eve, glasses of wine clink together in every house, the smell of Tet permeates every corner of the street.
