Ban But is one of the villages in Nam Xuan commune with a developed cultural and artistic movement. To achieve this, the village regularly pays attention to developing the mass cultural and artistic movement, and at the same time establishes an intergenerational club to preserve traditional cultural values and promote the development of the cultural and artistic movement.

Established in 2013 with 20 members, the But Village Intergenerational Club has now attracted more than 50 members. The members of the Club are of different ages, but have in common a passion for culture and arts and a desire to preserve traditional cultural values. Since its establishment, in addition to performing art performances for the village, commune, and district on the occasion of holidays, New Year, anniversaries, participating in competitions and mass art performances at all levels, the But Village Intergenerational Club has also passed on many lullabies and unique dances of the Thai people to the younger generation. From the Club, many young artists have been trained and passed on their skills, becoming the next generation, "keeping the fire" for the mass art movement; promoting to everyone the traditional culture of their people, educating the younger generation to appreciate the cultural values of their ancestors, contributing to promoting the development of the mass art movement of the village.

Talking to us, Village Chief Ha Cong Chuc said: In order to develop the cultural and artistic movement, the village regularly participates in mass art movements and competitions; establishes an intergenerational club to pass on traditional cultural values. In recent years, the village has focused on developing community tourism and has initially achieved positive results. The number of visitors to the village for sightseeing and experience is increasing. Coming to the village, many tourists also want to experience the unique cultural features of the Thai ethnic group. The village's intergenerational club actively stages and practices artistic performances to serve tourists. The establishment of the club helps preserve traditional cultural values, while promoting the beauty of local culture to the outside world.

Currently, Quan Hoa district has established 157 clubs and art troupes in villages and neighborhoods. The clubs and art troupes established and regularly operate not only to meet the cultural and artistic needs of the people, but also to preserve and promote traditional cultural values. To maintain their activities, the clubs and art troupes have established very systematic criteria for their activities, with rich and diverse performance content, mostly focusing on folk art genres. In addition, some clubs and art troupes regularly organize exchanges with clubs in the district to create conditions for members to exchange experiences in activities and performances. Up to now, the mass art movement in Quan Hoa district has developed widely in communes and towns in the area. Many communes have effective performing arts clubs and teams, such as Phu Nghiem, Phu Le, Nam Xuan, Phu Thanh, Hoi Xuan town... One of the important factors maintaining and promoting the increasingly strong development of mass performing arts clubs and teams is the attention and facilitation of local authorities. With the motto "The State and the People work together", many communes and towns have provided financial support for performing arts clubs and teams to operate, practice, and purchase performance costumes. Every year, the district has proactively allocated the budget and mobilized resources to invest in building cultural institutions to meet the community living needs of the people.

Head of the Department of Culture and Information Luong Thi Nhung said: Quan Hoa district always pays attention to the establishment and development of clubs and art teams. This is the "lever" to develop mass art activities. At competitions and festivals, with serious investment, the artistic quality of clubs and mass art teams is increasingly improved. The art performances have rich and diverse content, meeting the entertainment needs of the people. Thereby, contributing significantly to the construction of cultural life at the grassroots level, creating a driving force to promote the emulation movement of labor production, and strengthening the solidarity of the people.

Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the district will continue to strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels for cultural and artistic activities. Promote propaganda and mobilize people to actively participate in cultural and sports activities in general and mass artistic activities in particular. Direct communes and towns to pay attention to and orient cultural and artistic clubs and teams to develop activity programs suitable to the needs of the people and local realities.
