Knowing the benefits of sports training, not everyone has enough time or conditions to register for training packages at professional gyms or sports fields. Renting a football field costs about 200,000 - 300,000 VND/hour, although the field rental price is not cheap, but during peak season (sunny season), finding a suitable training field is not easy.
To save money and time, many young people want to go to “outdoor gyms” – parks and public training grounds. However, it is difficult to find a rented sports ground, and public spaces with good equipment are even rarer.
At this time, the appearance of Youth Sports Spaces with modern, improved facilities and equipment, suitable for the needs of the community, has "retained" young people who love playing sports. At the same time, these projects also create more motivation for young people to maintain a more regular habit, especially in areas that have not yet invested in facilities for physical exercise and sports.
Recently, the projects "Youth Sports Space - Replenishing Energy, Energizing Youth" by TCP Vietnam in collaboration with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and the National Volunteer Center to upgrade and improve facilities with modern, specialized equipment for many different sports when put into operation in Thanh Hoa and Da Nang have received support from local people, especially young people.
Since the community sports space in Thanh Hoa was established, Khanh (18 years old, Da Nang) and her friends regularly go to practice volleyball every day. “Before, my friends and I couldn’t play volleyball too often because the court rental fee was not cheap at all, but since the new court was built, we often invite each other to play volleyball together because it is not expensive and there is a lot of quality equipment,” Khanh shared.
In addition to the volleyball court, these Youth Sports Space projects also repair and improve the facilities of the court into a basketball court and especially a pickleball court - a sport that has been "making waves" in recent days.
Having always loved pickleball, Hoa (24 years old, Da Nang) has had another reason to maintain her exercise routine since the Youth Sports Space in Da Nang was officially inaugurated .
“Since I graduated, I haven’t exercised or played any sports, but things have changed recently. Since I started exercising regularly at the playground, I feel my health has improved a lot, and I feel happier and more optimistic than before” – Hoa talks about her changes after getting into the habit of playing sports and maintaining this habit every day.
It can be seen that the projects under the program “Youth Sports Space – Replenishing Energy, Rejuvenating Youth” in Thanh Hoa and Da Nang after more than 2 weeks of operation have created positive effects on local youth. Many young people like Khanh and Hoa have started to have the habit of exercising more regularly and actively participating in outdoor sports activities, improving both physically and mentally.
Not only stopping at the first projects, the program "Youth Sports Space - Replenishing Energy, Rejuvenating Youth" will continue to spread nationwide. Specifically, in October, projects in Bac Giang and Can Tho are expected to be completed. By the end of 2024, 5 more projects in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Bac Ninh, Binh Duong, and Nghe An will be put into operation.
Regarding the plan, the program aims to complete a total of 20 community sports spaces from 2024 to 2026, with the expectation of gradually creating long-term changes for young people in accessing and maintaining sports practice habits, contributing to improving community health and building a young generation strong in both body and spirit.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Hien Huy - General Director of TCP Vietnam Company - said: "The Youth Sports Space project demonstrates the company's concern for improving the health and quality of life for the young generation in particular and the community in general. These efforts continue to emphasize TCP's three key strategies: Perfection - Development - Care with the common mission of "Replenishing Energy, Revitalizing Life".
With a long-term vision and continuous efforts for community activities and programs, TCP Vietnam and its partners hope to accompany the young generation of Vietnam, contributing to building a healthy and sustainable society.
