According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Go Vap district, on the morning of November 5, after information about the incident of students fighting in the school restroom appeared, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of the district asked the Principal of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School to report and explain the content of the incident.

The principal of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School said that the incident happened at the end of October 2023, when the school received a complaint from parents about female students fighting in the restroom on the second floor of the school.

Based on the parents' feedback, the school has investigated. Accordingly, at the end of the 2022-2023 school year, TV (grade 7/6) and TA (grade 6/8) had a conflict, then a fight during recess in the yard at the school's second campus.

The incident was resolved satisfactorily by the school and the parents, but the students still have conflicts in the 2023-2024 school year.

TA's sister, CXM (class 9/9), said that because her younger sister was beaten in the previous school year, and because V borrowed money from YN (TA's friend, who has now transferred schools) but did not pay her back, on September 23, TA invited some other students to meet TV in the girls' restroom on the 2nd floor of the school to talk.

Here, three students M, N, and T took turns beating TV. After beating her, the three female students warned TV not to tell anyone, or else they would beat her again. TV was afraid and did not dare to report it to the school.

Immediately after learning of the incident, on November 3, the school invited students and parents to the school to handle their violations.

As a result, the school announced that the students who beat their friends were assessed as having poor conduct in the first report card period - semester I; at the same time, they coordinated with the police of Ward 3, Go Vap district to deter and educate the students.

However, on the morning of November 5, social media resurfaced the incident with a video clip recording a scene of students from Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School beating a friend in the school restroom. The video clip was filmed by a student in the group using a phone.

After reviewing the video clip, the school realized that the incident was serious, TV was beaten by 3 students. The attitude of the students who participated in beating TV was unacceptable.

According to the school's assessment, the students' actions have negatively affected the school's reputation, causing insecurity among students, parents, and the school.

The report stated that the school is continuing to verify the incident and will resolutely handle the violators according to the regulations of the education sector, helping them recognize their wrongdoings and at the same time deterring the remaining students to end school violence in the future.
