On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh welcomed the delegation of the Communist Party of the United States to visit and work with the Vietnam Fatherland Front; wished Mr. Arturo Cambron and the members of the delegation good health, happiness, and good results during their visit and work in Vietnam.

Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh expressed that Vietnam highly appreciates the fact that the Communist Party of the United States has chosen Vietnam as the first destination in the Asia-Pacific region to officially launch the Communist Party of the United States' "Hello Comrade" project; and at the same time, sincerely thanks the Communist Party of the United States delegation for their sentiments towards the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The delegation's visit is an affirmation of the traditional friendship between the two Communist Parties that has always been nurtured, contributing to the development of the relationship between Vietnam and the United States.

Most recently, US President Joe Biden's visit to Vietnam in September 2023 at the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong strengthened the relationship between Vietnam and the United States, raising the level of the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership.

According to Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, the Party, State, Vietnam Fatherland Front and Vietnamese people always remember and are grateful for the sincere support and assistance that the Communist Party of the United States and the progressive people of the United States have given to Vietnam during the years of resistance as well as in the process of building and defending the Fatherland.

In particular, Vietnam highly appreciates the support of the Communist Party of the United States for overcoming the consequences of war and the Agent Orange/dioxin disaster to bring a peaceful and safe life to the Vietnamese people.

“During the visit and work in Vietnam, the delegation of the Communist Party of the United States will visit and work with the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin. Hopefully, through the work, the delegation will have many solutions to work with the Association to resolve difficulties for victims affected by Agent Orange/dioxin,” Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh expressed and hoped that in the coming time, through its activities, the Communist Party of the United States will continue to pay attention, create conditions, and help the Vietnamese community living and working in the states to ensure their legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the provisions of US law.

At the meeting, Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh introduced to the delegation of the Communist Party of the United States the history of formation, position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the political system; the organizational system and some outstanding activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Emphasizing that the Vietnam Fatherland Front is eager to expand relations with similar organizations in other countries to strengthen cooperative relationships as well as promote people-to-people foreign relations, Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh hopes that the Communist Party of the United States will continue to support the renovation process of Vietnam under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam; at the same time, she believes that with its 105-year history of establishment and operation, experience and solidarity, the Communist Party of the United States will receive the trust and consensus of progressive people in the United States, enhancing its position and voice in US politics in the international communist and workers' movement.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Arturo Cambron said that the delegation's visit to Vietnam was part of the "Hello Comrade" project of the Communist Party of the United States. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the new generation of the Communist Party of the United States to experience and see a developing socialist country.

From this project, the young generation of the Communist Party of the United States will build, connect and promote its role in the future; at the same time, continue to make positive contributions to strengthening the connection between communist and workers' parties in the world.

Mr. Arturo Cambron hopes that through the project "Hello Comrade", the Communist Party of the United States will expand its relations with countries around the world and make positive contributions to the development of relations between the two countries and the two peoples.
