Opening the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, said that over the years, the Women's Union has coordinated with ministries, branches and localities to organize a variety of activities to mobilize members and women to proactively and actively participate in effective environmental protection. Many good and creative models and practices in localities have been built, maintained and replicated, contributing positively to creating changes in awareness and actions to protect the environment of each cadre, woman and community. The media event “Green Market – Protecting the Rural Environment” contributes to raising public awareness of environmental protection; encouraging community activities and movements for the environment, towards a green economy, circular economy and sustainable development; effectively implementing Vietnam's commitments to the international community on environmental protection and climate change adaptation. Through this, the Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union called on the community to act together, build a sustainable lifestyle, friendly to nature; rationally use natural resources, protect biodiversity by sorting waste at the source, limiting the use of plastic bags; actively plant trees, afforest, protect forests; carry out organic waste treatment, encourage the use of environmentally friendly products; form and maintain good habits to contribute to environmental protection, making the world cleaner.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, assessed that the event is one of the specific and practical activities in environmental protection. In response to the event, it is recommended that Party committees, authorities at all levels, agencies, organizations, people and especially members of Women's Unions at all levels in the province strengthen propaganda and mobilize members to well implement the Party's policies, the State's laws, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the locality on environmental protection.

At the same time, mobilize all union members, members and families to synchronously implement environmental protection solutions with specific programs such as: using chemicals of natural origin, recycling waste, responding to the movement of planting 1 billion trees... with specific, practical actions. Actively participate in the movement to build a "green - clean - beautiful" rural environment combined with developing community ecotourism, associated with the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean". In particular, Mr. Tung noted the need to have a form of reward and commendation for groups and individuals with good practices and advanced typical models for replication.
