Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung holds the position of Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee

On the afternoon of November 11, the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Executive Committee elected Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to hold the position of Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung was born in 1974, from Tinh Hai commune, Nghi Son town (Thanh Hoa), has a Master's degree in economics, and a political theory degree: Advanced.

He was appointed by the Prime Minister to the position of Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment from January 28, 2019. Previously, Mr. Trung held the following positions: Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Director of the Department of Local and Territorial Economy, Director of the Department of Infrastructure and Urban Areas (Ministry of Planning and Investment).

In February 2020, he was appointed as Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. In March 2020, Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. In October 2020, Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, 19th term, 2020 - 2025 term, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

On July 4, 2021, he was re-elected as Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung will concurrently hold the position of Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee until this position is filled. The current Vice Chairmen of the province include Mr. Le Hong Vinh (standing), Bui Thanh An, Bui Dinh Long and Nguyen Van De.
