On November 7, at Tuc Duyen Primary School (Tuc Duyen Ward, Thai Nguyen City), The organizing committee of the project "Connecting Warm Hands" implemented by the Central Youth Union, Thanh Nien Newspaper, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ Company) and the Golden Trust Fund, has deployed resources to support provinces that suffered heavy damage from storm Yagi.

The total resources of the project "Connecting Warm Arms" is 4.1 billion VND.

The organizers said that the storm has passed, but the heavy damage to people and property in the northern provinces is still there. In many places, schools were severely damaged, many school supplies, books and teaching equipment were damaged and could not be used. Many children in remote areas have more difficulties going to school due to their family's circumstances after the flood.

Faced with this situation, the Central Youth Union, Thanh Nien Newspaper, Golden Faith Fund and PNJ Company announced the project "Connecting Warm Hands" to accompany many businesses to provide educational support for children in areas affected by natural disasters.

The organizers of "Connecting Warm Hands" and many units and businesses will be present at some schools that were heavily damaged by the storm to visit and encourage students and give many gifts to support the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Cao Bang...

The program includes donating textbooks, school supplies, warm clothes, blankets, mattresses, and supporting school repairs… to schools affected by Typhoon Yagi. In particular, the project also offers many scholarships to students with the spirit of overcoming difficulties and excelling in their studies. The total resources for implementing the project are 4.1 billion VND (including money and gifts).

According to the organizers, providing practical educational support for children after Typhoon Yagi is a new direction implemented by the "Warm Hands" project to resonate with existing essential support programs of other organizations and groups. All aim to help children return to school in the most complete way and partly help people in flooded areas to rebuild their lives soon.

Great source of encouragement for students

Speaking at the program, Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of PNJ Company and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Golden Trust Fund shared: "PNJ and the Golden Trust Fund are always steadfast in their mission of supporting the improvement of living conditions and environment for women and children in difficult circumstances, building a long-term development foundation for the community.

According to the organizers, not only contributing 3 billion VND, PNJ is also the unit that initiated and accompanied the program from the very beginning. Throughout the development journey of the past 36 years as well as the process of building future orientation, PNJ has always been associated with sustainable development.

That philosophy has affirmed the right direction that the enterprise has always pursued since its inception, always "putting customer interests and social interests into the interests of the enterprise". PNJ's community mark in recent times is a pioneering enterprise model with many specific and practical activities.

In Thai Nguyen, the organizing committee donated resources including money and gifts to the Thai Nguyen, Yen Bai, and Cao Bang Provincial Youth Unions with a total value of more than 1.7 billion VND. The organizing committee also donated resources to Tuc Duyen Primary School, including: school renovation costs, scholarships, and school supplies for students, with a total value of 319 million VND.

Receiving the project's support, representative of Tuc Duyen Primary School, Ms. Pham Quynh Trang, Principal of the school, was moved to say: "These contributions not only help the school quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters, but are also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping us to be more confident and determined to continue fulfilling our educational mission."

Ms. Pham Quynh Trang also said that she will use the support resources in the most effective way, promptly repair and upgrade the facilities so that students will not be disadvantaged after the storm. At the same time, the school will continue to make efforts to bring students a safe and quality learning environment.
