Fight against giant tornadoes, fight electromagnetic fields and solar flares, admire the beautiful Earth from the vastness of space, or watch the miraculous development of flora and fauna… all of these can only be found at Futuroscope amusement park.
Recently, the world's leading science and technology park Futuroscope welcomed its 60 millionth visitor. Not only is it an entertainment venue, Futuroscope is also a place where visitors have the opportunity to interact with advanced science and technology knowledge of the future.
Located on an area of 35 hectares in the suburbs of Poitiers, in the province of Vienne, more than 300 km west of Paris, Futuroscope is the first amusement park in France specializing in information technology, digital and imaging science, awakening all human senses in multidimensional space.

Futuroscope Park was born in 1987 thanks to the idea of René Monory, President of the Vienne Provincial Council, who at that time really wanted to build a futuristic city to create a driving force for the development of tourism economy for a purely agricultural province, while raising public awareness of new information and communication technologies.
Operated by the Compagnies des Alpes, Futuroscope is constantly innovating to attract the public. True to its name, Futuroscope, which roughly translates to "illuminating the future", the park's management wants to combine entertainment and education, guiding visitors to the sciences of the future, with direct experiences of players through adventures in virtual reality space, thereby better understanding the world and being more conscious of their living environment.

Starting with the most modern and largest 3D and 4D cinema rooms in Europe at that time, Futuroscope developed entertainment not only with image, sound and light technology, but also combined with popularizing knowledge through programs related to environmental science, climate change, the world of flora and fauna, earth science, space... Always ranked in the Top 5 amusement parks in France, Futuroscope has received the Thea Awards 3 times for the most attractive place in the world, awarded by the Association of Thematic Entertainment.
Mr. Jérôme Neveux, in charge of press and external relations, said that Futuroscope recently had the honor of welcoming its 60 millionth visitor, contributing to affirming the good performance in the park's operations.

"Up to now, we have about 40 games and entertainment programs that attract all ages and audiences, especially young people, of which 60% are families. Not only domestic guests, we also welcome a large number of international guests, most of whom come from Spain, Belgium, England, and countries in the European Union," he shared.
The park’s appeal is widely recognized by visitors. Local youth Dorian Nouhaud confessed to having visited the park 6-7 times because he likes the entertainment here, which is both attractive and educational, and also because each time he comes, he finds new interesting things.
Dorian said: "Coming here, I learned a lot about science and technology, such as experiencing tornado hunting games or visiting an upside-down house, which helped me understand the terrible impact of climate change, so that I can be more aware of protecting the environment."

Meanwhile, Dorian's cousin Leila Horta wants to watch 3D and 4D movies, because "when I put on the glasses, I feel like I'm in the movie."
Not only the children, but also their parents were as excited as their children when experiencing Futuroscope. Mr. and Mrs. Fouchier and their children from Lyon expressed their strong feeling of being overwhelmed when seeing the large park with many digital games and modern imaging technology.
Mr. Alexandre Fouchier confided: "I find games not only entertaining but also educational. Many entertainment programs provide rich and interesting knowledge not only for children but also for adults, for example knowledge about space, the universe and the earth".
As for his wife, Natalie Fouchier, "science films are also great, because they bring about knowledge about the wonders of nature and the earth". "This is the first time the whole family has visited Futuroscope, but it certainly won't be the last. We have to come back here", she affirmed.

With its unique experience and thematic strengths in the entertainment world, Futuroscope is preparing to write a new chapter in its development, in which artificial intelligence and robotics, 3D printing technology, biotechnology and environmentally friendly activities will be applied to make Futuroscope a green holiday destination for families in France and Europe.
Sharing about Futuroscope's future plans, Mr. Jérôme Neveux said: "In order to attract more domestic and international tourists and increase their length of stay here, Futuroscope has decided to invest 300 million euros from now until 2025 in a plan to develop new entertainment programs, including the Aquascope project, an underwater entertainment area, and the construction of environmentally friendly resorts, thereby mobilizing people to be more aware of participating in protecting the planet, fighting climate change and reducing the greenhouse effect."
In the context of strong development of 4.0 technology, science amusement parks like Futuroscope will be a favorite destination for young people, always aiming for new, creative and environmentally friendly technology.
