In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, Ambassador Dang Thi Thu Ha expressed her joy and respectfully conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his wife, the Government and people of Turkey; and respectfully invited the President and his wife to pay an official visit to Vietnam, contributing to bringing the relationship between the two countries to a new, more effective and profound height.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan conveyed his greetings to General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other senior leaders of Vietnam; he was pleased to recall Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to Türkiye in November 2023 and emphasized that the visit has a historic significance for bilateral relations.

Congratulating Ambassador Dang Thi Thu Ha on her appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Türkiye, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan affirmed that this demonstrates the importance of the Party and State of Vietnam to the relationship between the two countries.

Expressing his delight at the new developments in bilateral relations, the President highly appreciated the potential for cooperation with Vietnam in various fields and hoped that trade turnover between the two countries would continue to increase in the coming time.

Stressing that defense cooperation in general and defense industry in particular are important areas of cooperation, President Erdoğan expected the two sides to soon sign a cooperation agreement in this area. He also asked Vietnam to support Türkiye to soon become a Dialogue Partner of ASEAN; committed that Turkish agencies will continue to support and promote bilateral relations.

Ambassador Dang Thi Thu Ha congratulated Türkiye on its important socio-economic achievements under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, making Türkiye a country with a developed economy and a voice in the region and the world.

According to the Ambassador, the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries have been developing positively, especially after Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Türkiye in November 2023. Two-way trade between the two countries reached more than 3 billion USD in 2024, making Vietnam Türkiye's leading trade partner in Southeast Asia.

There are currently more than 40 Turkish enterprises investing in Vietnam, Long Thanh airport is being built by a Turkish consortium, Turkish Airlines operates two direct flights every day from Vietnam to Türkiye and vice versa.

In particular, Vietnam's sending of a rescue team to support earthquake victims in Türkiye in 2023 is a vivid demonstration of the sharing between Vietnam and Türkiye.

The Ambassador affirmed that he will closely coordinate with relevant Turkish agencies and make every effort to contribute to the comprehensive and substantive development of relations between the two countries in the coming time.

At the end of the reception, President Erdoğan presented Ambassador Dang Thi Thu Ha with several books, including two authored by himself, titled “A fairer world is possible” and “The world is bigger than 5”.
