Previously, Japan Display (JDI) and Sharp accounted for 70% of the iPhone screen market share, but recently only supplied LCD screens for the iPhone SE. Currently, Apple's main OLED screen suppliers come from China and Korea.

It is known that Apple will soon switch to using OLED screens for all iPhone models sold in 2025, including the low-cost iPhone SE. This makes the LCD panel supplier from Japan gradually lose its position.

Apple has reportedly begun ordering OLED displays for the upcoming iPhone SE from two suppliers in South Korea and China. This change will mark the end of LCD displays on iPhones.

According to statistics, Samsung Electronic is holding half of the iPhone OLED screen market while LG Display accounts for about 30% and BOE (from China) accounts for about 20%.

OLED technology helps bring vivid colors, sharper contrast than LCD. To meet the increasing demand of users, Samsung has been selling OLED screens instead of LCD since 2009.
