On the afternoon of September 22, speaking with Dan Viet reporters, the leader of the People's Committee of Tuan Dao commune, Lac Son district, Hoa Binh province informed that this morning (September 22), the commune government had to evacuate 6 more households in Rai hamlet to a safe place due to the high risk of landslides, bringing the total number of households that had to be evacuated to a safe place to 66.
According to the leader of Tuan Dao Commune People's Committee, the cause is due to cracks and subsidence changing the direction of the landslide, endangering the 6 households mentioned above.

Previously, in the Rai hamlet, Tuan Dao commune, due to the impact of the flood in October 2017, subsidence occurred, causing damage to a number of houses. After the circulation of storm No. 3 in 2024 with many prolonged heavy rains, many cracks and prolonged subsidence appeared.
Here, the cracks and subsidence are 1 - 3m long, 2 - 3m deep and about 800m long. There are also many small cracks, affecting an area of about 7ha. Many households have cracked houses, collapsed foundations, damaged houses and a high risk of landslides at any time. It is estimated that the amount of soil and rock if collapsed is about 7 to 8 million m3. Up to 111 households with 539 people are affected, of which 60 households with 278 people have to be urgently evacuated from the dangerous area.

On the same afternoon, the leader of the People's Committee of Doan Ket commune, Yen Thuy district, Hoa Binh province informed that this morning (September 22), many cracks appeared in the hill area in Men Lien Ket hamlet, with the risk of landslides, endangering 6 households living around the hill. The cracks on the hill are in many different directions, with an average length of 20cm -30cm; the largest crack is about 20cm wide, the smallest is about 5cm wide.
As soon as the cracks appeared, the Commune People's Committee, together with the hamlet and the Commune's Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command Committee, mobilized and evacuated 6 households from the dangerous area to a safe place. At the same time, they stretched ropes, put up warning signs, and assigned people to monitor the development of the cracks.
