The World's Youngest Architect Award (Moira Gemmil Award) is an award for talented architects under the age of 45 from around the world who have made outstanding achievements, from designing the world's most important new buildings to contributing to the wider architectural culture.

In 2024, female architect Nguyen Ha (44 years old) - famous for her spiritually inspired designs using flexible and connected shapes - became the first Vietnamese person to be nominated for this award.

This female architect is the one who designed the Mother Goddess Museum for artist Xuan Hinh - a famous project that used 5 million ancient roof tiles and millions of ancient bricks purchased from 500 households across the country.

The project is designed in harmony with nature, located in the middle of a 50-year-old fruit garden without having to cut down any trees.

The design projects that architect Nguyen Ha has implemented are also highly appreciated for the architect's consideration of local culture, the close relationship between architecture and the spiritual experience of the user, the poetic way of handling space and materials, and the proposals for the future of the locality where those architectures are present.

The top 4 nominees for the 2024 Moira Gemmill Award include: Kim Courrèges (France), Joana Dabaj (Lebanon), Nguyen Ha (Vietnam) and Noelia Monteiro (Brazil).

The results of the Moira Gemmill Prize will be announced on March 7 at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) in Montreal.
