People change the way they celebrate Tet, how do businesses prepare goods?

The current trend is for people to reduce food storage during Tet, so suppliers are not under pressure to prepare goods for this occasion.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Ngoc, Director of Fresh Food at Bach Hoa Xanh, said that the company has prepared many plans for the peak shopping season at the end of the year and the Lunar New Year 2025.

According to Ms. Ngoc, the trend of Vietnamese people is changing the way they celebrate Tet. Specifically, people do not buy too much food to stock up, and travel more during Tet. Therefore, people's shopping during the peak Tet season does not put too much pressure on supermarkets.

“People shop a lot during Christmas, New Year and Lunar New Year (December 26-30). The amount of fresh food that Bach Hoa Xanh serves during these occasions increases by 30-50% compared to normal days,” said Ms. Ngoc.

According to Ms. Ngoc, the demand for fresh food in the Northern region is currently increasing sharply after Typhoon Yagi. This has somewhat affected market prices. However, food suppliers are trying to control prices and not increase prices at the end of the year.

Ms. Ngoc shared that with the fresh food industry, every day, more than 1,700 Bach Hoa Xanh stores are importing an average of about 250 tons of meat to serve consumer demand, equivalent to 7,500 tons/month. Of which, there are more than 1,000 tons of fresh chicken/month.

Fresh chicken sold at Bach Hoa Xanh is increasingly popular with consumers with strong sales growth. Specifically, consumers choose many products from CPV Food (CP Group). From 2021 to present, the output of fresh chicken sold by CPV Food at Bach Hoa Xanh has increased by 30 - 50% per year.

According to a representative of CPV Food Company, more and more consumers are choosing domestically produced clean chicken. This type of chicken is produced in a closed model in a biosafety area.

The chickens raised are genetically superior, healthy, and grow quickly without the use of hormones. The eggs are disinfected and vaccinated, and incubated automatically so that the chickens hatch healthily. The adult chickens are fed standard, strictly controlled feed, so the meat is delicious.

In addition, the most modern chicken slaughtering technology and chicken cooling technology (Combine Chill) in Southeast Asia are also providing the domestic market with the freshest, highest quality chicken products available today.
