What should people pay attention to when worshiping Buddha's relics?

Monks, nuns, Buddhists, and people began to worship Buddha's relics at Thanh Tam Pagoda (Lonely Buddha) from 6am this morning, May 3 to noon May 8.

The organizers said that the Buddha's relics (India's national treasure) were received from India by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, invited and enshrined at Thanh Tam Pagoda (Le Minh Xuan Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City).

No pre-registration required

The worship time is from May 3 to noon on May 8. Except for the morning of May 6, which is reserved for delegates attending the 2025 United Nations Vesak Day , the rest of the worship time is from 6am to 10pm every day.

Monks, nuns, Buddhists, and people coming to worship Buddha's relics do not need to register in advance. When they arrive, gather at the waiting room and the organizers will guide them.

To show respect to Buddha and to make the worship sacred and solemn, the organizers have set out the following regulations:

The Organizing Committee does not collect or accept any fees from anyone who comes to worship; does not accept wreaths or offerings; does not perform offering rituals at the place of worship.

Do not take photos or videos without permission

All visitors to the Buddha's relics must follow the instructions of the organizers, line up in order, move in line, do not run or take shortcuts through the moving crowd, remain absolutely silent, and do not take photos or film inside the relics' place of worship or the relics' worship areas.

Children under 2 years old, people with poor health, or inappropriate clothing will not be admitted to the place where Buddha's relics are enshrined.

Limit carrying handbags, backpacks and personal belongings; do not bring weapons, explosives, flammable substances, food, drinks, or items that may disrupt order or affect the safety and solemnity of the place of worship.

Note when parking

The organizers arranged 3 parking lots for visitors to visit the Buddha's relics.

Parking lot number 1 is for all cars from 4 seats to 45 seats (cars with more than 16 seats must enter this lot).

Parking lot number 2 is for motorbikes and 4-seat, 7-seat, 16-seat cars.

Parking lot number 3 is for motorbikes and 4-seat, 7-seat, 16-seat cars (29 seats or more are not allowed).

From the parking lot, the organizers arrange shuttle buses to take guests to the waiting rooms to worship Buddha's relics and vice versa.

From May 6 to 8, vehicles without badges will not be allowed on Le Dinh Chi Street. Depending on the actual situation, the organizers will make flexible adjustments to ensure the most convenient movement.

Delegate vehicles attending Vesak 2025 must have the organizing committee's identification badge on their windshields. Vehicles move along the route to Le Dinh Chi Street, turn onto Le Chinh Dang Street, and arrive at the parking lot.
