Fishermen caught tons of anchovies at the beginning of the year

On January 7, Mr. Phan Cong Thoan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Ninh Commune (Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh Province) said that in the past two days, many fishermen have gone to sea and continuously caught tons of anchovies. These are the first sea trips of the new year 2024, so catching a lot of anchovies helps fishermen have a high income, which is very exciting.

The area where fishing boats of Ky Ninh commune go out to sea to catch a lot of anchovies is in the sea of ​​Ky Anh district and Ky Anh town (Ha Tinh province), about 1 to more than 2 nautical miles from the coast.

During the day, each boat catches an average of over 500kg to more than 2 tons of anchovies, with many boats catching from 4 to more than 5 tons of anchovies.

Immediately after bringing the anchovies ashore, traders and people inside and outside Ky Ninh commune came to buy them all, with prices ranging from 13,000 - 30,000 VND/kg, depending on the type.

Anchovies are often purchased by seafood processing facilities to make fish sauce... In addition, they are also dried for use, sold at local wholesale markets or imported to other provinces.

After deducting fuel, labor costs..., many boats earn millions of dong each day.
