Mrs. Tran Thi Duyen (also known as Duc) passed away at 5:55 a.m. on February 28, at the age of 95. The funeral was held from 7:30 a.m. on February 29. The memorial service and funeral procession took place from 2:00 p.m. on March 1. The artist was buried in her hometown cemetery.

From 1975 to 2017, she was the head priest of Tien Linh Temple and the head incense burner at Phu Tien Huong - Phu Day.
