Currently, SJC gold bars are being bought at 119.3 million VND/tael and sold at 121.3 million VND/tael. Meanwhile, SJC 9999 gold rings are bought at 114 million VND/tael and sold at 116.5 million VND/tael. The difference between the buying and selling price of gold bars is 2 million VND/tael, lower than that of gold rings at 2.5 million VND/tael.

Gold rings have the advantage of being priced close to the world gold price and are easily accessible to those with small capital. However, this type of gold is difficult to resell elsewhere than the original purchase point, is easily overpriced, and its quality is not uniformly tested like gold bars. Therefore, buyers need to choose a reputable place.

On the contrary, gold bars, especially SJC, are highly appreciated for their standard quality, ease of trading and high safety, suitable for long-term investment. However, the price in Vietnam is often significantly higher than the international gold price and can be affected by supply management policies.

Should I invest in gold bars or gold rings?

Experts warn that rushing to buy gold to follow trends, or even borrowing money to speculate, is a big risk during a period of strong gold price fluctuations. Gold rings are suitable for flexible and small-scale accumulation goals, while gold bars are suitable for large and long-term investment plans. Regardless of which type is chosen, investors need to have a clear strategy, determine profit goals, risk tolerance, and maintain financial discipline.

Finally, experts advise against investing all your assets in gold. A smart investment portfolio should have a balance between gold, bank savings, real estate and stocks to limit risks. In a volatile market, sobriety and careful calculation are the safest "golden wall".

According to experts, there is no type of gold that is absolutely “better”, but the choice depends on each person's financial goals, capital size and risk tolerance.
