On the morning of March 27, the Association for the Protection of the Disabled, Orphans and Protection of Children's Rights of Thanh Hoa province held a conference to launch the project "Improving community capacity in preventing and combating physical violence against children in Thanh Hoa province" sponsored by Terre des Hommes (Federal Republic of Germany).

At the conference, delegates listened to representatives of Terre des Hommes organization deploy the key contents of the project with the main goal of achieving results, which are: Raising awareness of physical violence and positive disciplinary methods; improving capacity on positive disciplinary methods for local officials and civil society organizations working in the field of child protection; community initiatives on non-violent education; integrating and mainstreaming physical violence prevention and control into child protection mechanisms.

The project will be implemented from March 2024 to October 31, 2026 in 15 wards and communes of Thanh Hoa city and Hau Loc and Hoang Hoa districts. Through the project, it aims to contribute to protecting children from physical violence by integrating non-violent parenting education and applying positive discipline methods into child protection mechanisms in Thanh Hoa province.
