Mr. Le Ba Thanh, Deputy Director of Department of Agriculture and Environment:
There is a policy to attract large enterprises to participate in production linkage.
Mr. Le Ba Thanh. |
Identifying lychee as a key crop in the structure of the crop cultivation industry, contributing significantly to the agricultural development of the province, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has proposed solutions for 2026 and the following years.
Accordingly, the province will maintain a stable lychee production area of 29.8 thousand hectares. Of which, 17.5 thousand hectares are produced according to VietGAP standards, 235 hectares according to GlobalGAP and 10 hectares according to organic standards. At the same time, it will continue to digitize 181 growing areas to improve management efficiency. Regarding export services, the province will strictly manage 240 existing growing area codes, review and issue new ones in qualified areas; strictly control 42 packaging facility codes; maintain the operation of a fumigation facility in the province and link with 2 facilities outside the province to serve the Japanese market; support businesses to carry out irradiation for export to Australia, the United States, etc.
The Department recommends that the Provincial People's Committee continue to issue policies to attract capable enterprises to participate in production and consumption linkages, invest in preservation technology and deep processing to meet the strict requirements of the markets. Key communes and wards need to proactively develop and implement plans for lychee production associated with export, strengthen the management of growing area codes and packaging facilities, and allocate funds to support concentrated production models that meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards. These solutions will contribute to enhancing the value, position and competitiveness of Bac Ninh lychee in the market.
Mr. Vi Van Tu, Chairman of Luc Ngan Commune People's Committee:
Building soil maps for fruit growing areas
Mr. Vi Van Tu. |
In 2025, lychee consumption in the area will face difficulties as the purchasing and packaging points are mainly concentrated along Highway 31, while this 15km route through the commune is very narrow and often congested. The situation of deducting weight is still common, while the output of drying and deep processing is still very limited. The use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides for many years, combined with increasingly harsh weather conditions, has affected soil quality.
Faced with that situation, to support people in producing and consuming lychee in 2026 and the following years in a favorable manner, bringing high economic value and increasing income for people, it is recommended that the province soon have a policy to invest funds to build a soil map of the Luc Ngan fruit growing area.
There is a policy to invest in a system of pumping stations and large reservoirs to bring water to serve large production areas on the hills and mountains, especially about 1,500 hectares lacking irrigation water. Apply scientific advances to production and preservation. In addition, it is necessary to expand National Highway 31 towards Son Dong and the connecting route from Highway 290 (old Hong Giang commune) to Highway 279 (old Tan Hoa commune) parallel to Highway 31.
It is recommended to add an industrial park in the commune to attract businesses to invest in deep processing of agricultural products and build specialized cold storage systems; have policies to encourage people, cooperatives, and businesses to invest in modern technology in large-scale production. Because currently people still practice small-scale farming according to habit, while the labor force is mainly elderly people.
Mr. Dao Van Hung, Director of Viettel Post Joint Stock Company Bac Ninh:
Bringing agricultural products to digital space
Mr. Dao Van Hung. |
Over the years, Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Post) has been expanding the domestic agricultural market through modern logistics infrastructure and a nationwide coverage network. Currently, the unit has more than 1,300 post offices, 6,000 transaction points and nearly 18,000 employees across 34 provinces and cities. In Bac Ninh, Viettel Post has become a trusted shipping partner by bringing local agricultural products to consumers across the country. Each crop season, the unit supports the consumption of thousands of tons of lychee, 300-500 tons of custard apples; thousands of tons of carrots and processed agricultural products...
However, the traditional consumption system still has many limitations such as dependence on seasons, lack of deeply processed products and farmers not proactively approaching consumers but still depending on traders. To solve this problem, Viettel Post has deployed the e-commerce platform Voso.vn and cooperated with TikTok Shop, opening 34 booths to promote agricultural products, of which Bac Ninh has the booth "Bac Ninh Agricultural Products Journey" - an effective online sales channel, connecting directly with consumers.
With experience in logistics operations for large corporations such as Samsung, LG and in cooperation with Vietnam Airlines, Viettel Post has applied the transportation process to Bac Ninh agricultural products. From the first stage, optimizing 30-40% of the time, to the middle stage, reducing 10-15% of the total truck cost, skipping intermediate warehouses; optimizing 20-30% by applying the intra-provincial delivery model, applying packaging and preservation standards, and operating processes for each type of product and agricultural region. In 2026, the unit strives to support transportation, contributing to the consumption of about 20,000 tons of lychee.
Viettel Post is not only a transport unit but also a companion of Bac Ninh farmers in the journey of building local agricultural product brands. Through livestream, combining with KOLs to promote products on e-commerce platforms such as TikTok, Shopee, Lazada..., Viettel Post is gradually bringing all agricultural products of Bac Ninh to the digital space, creating direct experiences for consumers, closely linking with gardeners, cooperatives and building a strong agricultural community for the province.
Mr. Le Quang Nguon, Operations Director of Mova Plus Joint Stock Company:
Application of production management technology and product traceability
Mr. Le Quang Nguon. |
In the context of Vietnamese agricultural products increasingly integrating deeply into the international market, Mova Plus has accompanied in building and developing national brands for Vietnamese agricultural products. Through the process of purchasing and consuming lychees in Bac Ninh in recent years, the Company has realized that there are still some problems.
Raw material areas have not been strictly managed and controlled, leading to diseases and pests during harvest. Unsynchronized cultivation capacity makes it difficult for lychees to access the European market through official channels. In addition, the quality and size of the fruit are not uniform, causing difficulties in classification.
The overall operating system from harvesting, processing to transportation also faces many challenges as production scale increases. Domestic transportation is limited in the number of refrigerated containers, long processing time and high transportation costs, affecting economic efficiency and product quality.
Faced with these difficulties, Mova Plus and its partners in the value chain have set a target of achieving an export output and domestic supply of 1-2 thousand tons of fresh lychee by 2026. The company aims to invest in and apply advanced technology to reduce post-harvest losses, extend storage time and improve the quality of export products.
To realize this goal, in addition to efforts from businesses and partners, there needs to be support from state management agencies and producers. Specifically, it is necessary to expand raw material areas that meet Global GAP standards, apply digital technology in production management and traceability to ensure transparency and consistency with international standards. Coordinate with leading businesses to build support mechanisms, aiming for more reasonable domestic transportation and air freight rates, creating favorable conditions for large-volume exports.
