The Henrico County Sheriff's Office (Virginia, USA) announced the arrest of nurse Erin Strotman (26 years old) in the case of a series of newborn babies being attacked in the NICU of Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, this state, according to Fox News.

Strotman is charged with malicious wounding and infant abuse, resulting in serious injuries. Police opened an investigation after receiving reports that three infants in the hospital's intensive care unit suffered unexplained fractures between late November and December 2024. The conditions of the infants were similar to those of four infants cared for in the same unit in the summer of 2023.
When three new cases were discovered, the hospital announced the temporary closure of the NICU on December 24, 2024. Through surveillance video from the hospital, authorities arrested Strotman.
