Stage of the historical education experience program "A time of fire and flowers"

Following the success of the Youth Legends program, the Vietnam Women's Museum continues to launch the historical education experience program "A Time of Fire and Flowers". Connected to the regular exhibition system, the program brings a new experience for students through the form of dramatization to tell the story of female guerrillas, doctors, youth volunteers, and female drivers of Truong Son - women who are ordinary in life but also very resilient in war.

Mr. Ngo Duy Ung, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Women's Museum, spoke at the program launch.

Speaking at the program launch, Mr. Ngo Duy Ung, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Women's Museum, shared: " To have peace today, we understand more deeply the value of independence and freedom - things that have been exchanged for sweat, blood and tears of an entire nation, including mothers, sisters, female soldiers - Vietnamese women who have lived, loved, fought and sacrificed silently but extraordinarily... ".

During the 60 minutes, the program led the audience and students back in time, reliving historical moments through the following scenes and performances: Lullaby of the Country; Vo Thi Sau; Mother and Child; The Road-Opening Girl; Confidences; Dong Loc T-junction; Doctor Dang Thuy Tram…. with the hope of helping the students better understand a difficult yet heroic historical period, while also deeply feeling the determination, patriotism and great contributions of Vietnamese women in the struggle for national independence.

Moved, proud, loving the Fatherland more, appreciating the great sacrifices of the previous generations are the feelings of Nguyen Ha An, class 5A, Quang Trung Primary School, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. She said: “This is the first time I have participated in a historical experience program, I feel very impressed and emotional. I feel moved and proud. I really like the image of doctor Dang Thuy Tram and hope to become a doctor in the future to treat patients.”

Ms. Duong Mai Anh, a teacher at Quang Trung Primary School, shared after watching the program: “I have been teaching history for many years, but when I watch the program, I still feel moved. The history lessons are conveyed very skillfully and are suitable for the age of students. This is a profound and meaningful history education program for students and adults, and should be widely spread.”

“A Time of Fire and Flowers” ​​is a special gift that the Vietnam Women’s Museum wishes to give to students, bringing them lively and inspiring history lessons. The historical educational experience activity “A Time of Fire and Flowers” ​​will accompany schools and students every weekday, starting from May 2025.
