According to People, the veteran actress still retains the familiar demeanor and appearance of editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, the icon who made waves in the first film nearly 20 years ago.
Meryl Streep, now 76 and a three-time Oscar winner, appeared with Miranda's signature short white hair, combined with trendy outfits: a khaki trench coat, a brown pencil skirt with a belt and a purple V-neck blouse.
She completed her look with matching heels, black sunglasses, and simple gold earrings as she walked through the bustling Midtown neighborhood near the filming location of the trailer.

Based on the novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger, the first part tells the story of Andy Sachs (played by Anne Hathaway), a recent college graduate who aspires to be a journalist.
She takes a job as an assistant to Miranda Priestly, the notorious editor-in-chief of the fictional magazine Runway. Throughout the film, Andy Sachs struggles to meet the demanding demands of her job while maintaining relationships with her boyfriend and co-workers - Emily (Blunt) and Nigel (Tucci).
In 2021, Meryl Streep admitted that she did not enjoy filming The Devil Wears Prada because she had to "get too deep" into the cold character Miranda Priestly - who is said to be inspired by the powerful editor-in-chief of Vogue , Anna Wintour.

“It was horrible! I was miserable in my trailer. I could hear everyone outside having a good time, laughing and talking. And I was completely depressed. I was like, ‘That’s what you pay for being a boss!’ And that was the last time I tried method acting,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
The veteran actress also added that she had no intention of portraying the real-life Anna Wintour, but was more interested in her role and the weight of her position in the company: “I wanted to show the burdens she had to shoulder, besides having to appear very neat every day.”
