Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, has just been approved by Can Tho City Party Committee to retire from work based on personal wishes and family circumstances from November 1.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hong was born in 1968, from Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang province, and has a PhD in economics. Mr. Hong was elected Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee at the end of 2020.

Previously, in December 2020, in Decision 578/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister decided to discipline Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, by reprimand due to violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Central Inspection Commission had disciplined him with the Party.
