In 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will continue to be assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to chair the Northern admission group, including 65 higher education institutions.
On the afternoon of August 20, a representative of Hanoi University of Science and Technology informed about the adjustment of the announcement schedule of the results of the university entrance exam group in the Northern region.

Accordingly, in order to implement the request to adjust the 2025 virtual selection and screening plan, the results of the northern region's selection will be announced by Hanoi University of Science and Technology at 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 22.
Previously, Hanoi University of Science and Technology informed that according to the plan and progress of the Northern region's admission work, at 5:30 p.m. on August 20, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will summarize and hand over the 2025 university admission results to the entire group of 65 higher education institutions.
Thus, the Northern region's admission results will be announced 2 days later than originally planned.
According to regulations, from 5:00 p.m. today (August 20), after 6 virtual filtering rounds, schools will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system; then announce the first round of admission results.
At this time, the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training is in the process of virtual filtering for the 6th time. The 6th virtual filtering will end at 4:30 p.m. today (August 20) and give the final admission results.
In the latest announcement sent by the Ministry of Education and Training to schools, the announcement of the first round of benchmark scores will be postponed to 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
Accordingly, the number of virtual filtering rounds will increase by 4, to 10 times, ending at 12:30 on August 22. From 5:00 p.m. on August 22, schools will announce the first round of admission scores.
The reason for the extended virtual filtering time is that the number of candidates registering for university and college admission is higher, and it is also the first year that colleges participate in the admission process, there is no more early admission, and all admission methods used in the first round are used.
The Ministry recommends that schools focus on carefully reviewing all data, admission methods, and situations in the context of many candidate data being used for admission to ensure that no candidates are missed or incorrectly admitted during the admission process; and limit the occurrence of handling errors during the admission process.
