Official 2025 High School Graduation Exam Schedule: Parallel Exams for 2 Programs

The 2025 high school graduation exam has two main exam days: June 26-27. Candidates will complete exam registration procedures on the afternoon of June 25. June 28 is reserved for the backup exam.

Candidates taking the current general education program only take 3 sessions with 4 subjects, including compulsory math and literature and 2 elective subjects from the following subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, economic and legal education, information technology, technology - industrial orientation and technology - agricultural orientation.

Candidates will complete the exam on the morning of June 27.

However, candidates taking the 2006 general education program must take 4 sessions with 6 subjects including: math, literature, foreign language, natural science exam (physics, chemistry, biology) or social science exam (history, geography, civic education).

Candidates will complete the exam on the afternoon of June 27.

According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training , nearly 1.17 million candidates registered to take the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Of which, the number of candidates taking the current program is approximately 1.12 million, accounting for 96.33%.

The number of candidates taking the old program is 26,711, accounting for 2.29%.
