Different benchmarks of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2025

On the afternoon of August 22, the Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam National University, announced the admission scores for 2025.

In addition to direct admission, the school uses a combination formula to determine admission scores. Of which, the high school graduation exam score accounts for 20%. The school does not convert between combinations.

The highest benchmark score is still in computer science , with 85.41 points, a slight decrease compared to last year.

Admission scores to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2025 are as follows:

In 2025, the University of Science and Technology will use a comprehensive admission method to consider 95-99% of the total target; direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training will consider 1-5% of the total target.

For the comprehensive admission method, the minimum score for receiving applications is 50 (on a scale of 100).

The scoring formula is as follows: Admission score = Academic score + Priority score (100-point scale)

In which, academic scores are calculated on a 100-point scale, rounded to 0.01 for each component and rounded to 0.01 for the total score.

Academic score = Ability score x 70% + Converted high school graduation score x 20% + Converted high school study score x 10%

This scoring method is “unique” in university entrance exams.

Over the past three years, the admission scores of the University of Technology have always been among the top in the South in particular and the whole country in general. In particular, the Computer Science major (standard program) has an admission score close to the 90-point scale. The admission scores for the three years 2022-2024 of this major are 86.3 - 86.9 - 86.7 points.
