At Hanoi National University of Education , the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday for students will also last 14 days, starting from January 20 to February 2, 2025 (ie December 21 to January 5).
Foreign Trade University has a longer break. According to the school's training plan, the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday for students and lecturers is 3 weeks, starting from January 20 to February 9, 2025 (ie December 21 to January 12).

Vietnam Agricultural Academy will give students a 19-day Lunar New Year holiday in 2025, lasting from January 22 to February 9, 2025 (ie December 23 to January 12).
Students of Hanoi University of Science and Technology will have 14 days off for Lunar New Year, starting from January 27 to February 9, 2025 (ie December 28 to January 12).

Previously, many universities in the South were scheduled to take a break for the Lunar New Year 2025. The school was off for at least 14 days and the longest so far is 28 days.
In a document sent to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training agreed to the plan for students, officials and teachers to have Tet holiday 2025 from Saturday, January 25 to Sunday, February 2 (ie from the 26th of the first lunar month of the year of Giap Thin to the 5th of the first lunar month of the year of At Ty).
With this plan, cadres, teachers, school staff and students will have 9 days off (including 5 days off for Lunar New Year and 4 days off for the weekend). However, most universities give students longer breaks. The reason is that schools are proactive in arranging training plans and school year time frames.
