MSc. Tran Thi Thuy Lan - Principal of Phu Tho College of Electromechanics - said that the school's students will have 23 days off for the 2025 Lunar New Year, from January 25, 2025 to February 16, 2025 (December 26 - January 19, lunar calendar).

"The school must arrange a 3-week Tet holiday so that ethnic minority students can celebrate Tet according to their ethnic traditions," Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Lan added.

Phu Tho College of Electromechanics has a large number of students from mountainous provinces such as Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La, Ha Giang, Yen Bai. Among them, the proportion of ethnic minority students is relatively high. Some ethnic groups have the tradition of celebrating Tet until the full moon of January.

In addition, every year, Phu Tho College of Electromechanics borrows its facilities from Thanh Ba district to hold military recruitment and departure ceremonies right after Tet. Therefore, the school also has to postpone the student enrollment time to reserve dormitories for the army.

Vietnam College of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technology and Foreign Trade College of Technology both announced a 20-day Tet holiday schedule, from January 20, 2025 to February 9, 2025. This holiday schedule applies to all campuses in the North, Central and South regions of these two schools.

Bac Ninh Industrial College plans to give students a break from January 18, 2025 to February 2, 2025, for a total of 16 days.

Dr. Vu Quang Khue - Principal of the school - said that the majority of the school's students come from the northern provinces. Only a few students come from the central region, the furthest being Quang Binh. Therefore, a two-week break is appropriate.

2 weeks is also the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday period of the Vietnam - Korea Bac Giang Vocational College of Technology. Mr. Nguyen Cong Thong - Principal of the school - said that the school has not yet had an official Tet holiday schedule, however, the number of holidays will fluctuate around 2 weeks, including weekends.

MSc. Dang An Binh - Principal of the College of Technology - also informed: "Students will have about 2 weeks off for Tet. The detailed schedule will be announced this month."

Currently, among the vocational colleges that have a Tet holiday schedule, Ha Nam Vocational College has the least number of days off for the 2025 Lunar New Year with 9 days, from January 25, 2025 to February 2, 2025.
