On the morning of September 5, at Bach Long Vi Primary and Kindergarten (Bach Long Vi District, Hai Phong City), the opening ceremony of the 2024 - 2025 school year took place.

Speaking to Thanh Nien Newspaper, Mr. Dao Minh Dong, Chairman of Bach Long Vi District People's Committee, said that due to the special nature of being an outpost island, far from the mainland, the residents are mainly cadres, police, military and fishermen. The students are all children of families living and working on the island district.

In the new school year 2024 - 2025, Bach Long Vi Primary and Kindergarten has 42 students. Although living conditions on the island district are still difficult, the children always receive attention and care from their families, the government and the school board.

On the occasion of the opening ceremony of the new school year, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee of Hai Phong City presented each student of Bach Long Vi Primary and Kindergarten with a backpack and school supplies.

The opening ceremony took place solemnly and safely amid the approaching storm No. 3.

According to Mr. Dong, by noon on September 5, Bach Long Vi district had light winds, the government and functional forces organized storm prevention plans, calling on fishermen to bring their boats to safe shelters.

Bach Long Vi port can accommodate about 500 vessels. The government has supported fishermen to use machinery to move small boats ashore.
