The opening ceremony of the new school year will be held online nationwide (Photo: DT).
The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued a plan to organize the 80th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year.
The ceremony was solemnly held to affirm the role, position and glorious historical tradition of the education sector, spread the spirit of innovation and creativity, towards an effective and quality school year.
The ceremony will be held at the National Convention Center, Hanoi , at 8:00 a.m. on September 5. The event will be broadcast live on VTV1 and connected online to all educational institutions nationwide, from kindergarten to university.
In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, delegates and guests will review the 80-year tradition of the education sector, listen to the speech of the Minister of Education and Training, and speeches by representatives of outstanding students.
Especially the speeches and drum beats to open the new school year by Party and State leaders.
The 2025-2026 school year is the first school year the whole country operates under a two-level government model.
This school year, the education sector will focus on implementing the 2018 general education program, organizing two-session teaching/day, promoting digital transformation, developing digital capacity, applying artificial intelligence (AI); at the same time, promoting socialization and mobilizing artisans, artists, and athletes to participate in education in schools.
