On the morning of September 5, more than 526,000 students and teachers in Hai Phong city happily entered the new school year 2024-2025.

The opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year at schools in Hai Phong city took place quickly in about 30-45 minutes but was solemn and safe, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and encouraging students, teachers and workers to overcome difficulties to complete teaching and learning tasks.

With the theme "Discipline, responsibility, innovation, improving the quality of education and training", the 2024-2025 school year is the final year of the 5-year plan (2021-2025), preparing for the next 5-year tasks of the city.

The 2024-2025 school year is also the final year of implementing the 2018 general education program in all three final grades and innovating the exam, admission to grade 10, and high school graduation exam according to the new program.

According to Tien Phong reporter, at Chu Van An Secondary and Primary School (Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City), schools organized a ceremony to salute the national flag, sing the national anthem and listen to the reading of Uncle Ho's letter and the letter of the General Secretary - President sent to the education sector.

After the ceremony, the school organizes various activities related to the themes of the school year, or towards specific messages within the action program throughout the school year.

In particular, although the authorities are urgently deploying plans to prevent storm No. 3, the leaders and officials of Bach Long Vi island district, together with teachers, organized a solemn opening ceremony for primary and kindergarten students on the island. Attending the opening ceremony of the new school year, students in the outpost island district were also given gifts of school bags and books.

According to information from the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training, in the 2024-2025 school year, the city will have more than 750 educational institutions with more than 526,000 students at all levels.

Of which, there are 115,041 children in preschool, 182,006 in primary school, 152,111 in secondary school, 77,072 in high school and 9,300 in continuing education. There are 1,924 management staff and 26,304 teachers.

The 2024-2025 school year is the first year to implement the 2018 General Education Program to all grades of general education and organize the High School Graduation Exam according to the 2018 General Education Program.
