A container truck carrying a large amount of wood from Laos to Vietnam overturned, its cabin blocking the road, causing serious congestion on National Highway 15D to La Lay International Border Gate.
As of 4:00 p.m. this afternoon (January 10), Dakrong District authorities (Quang Tri Province) are still coordinating with functional forces to overcome the consequences of the accident that occurred on National Highway 15D through the area.

Previously, a container truck carrying wood with license plate 74C-090.XX pulling a trailer with license plate 74R-011.18, driven by driver Le Quang Ph. (born in 1988, residing in Quang Tri province), was moving in the direction of La Lay International Border Gate - Ho Chi Minh Road.

When reaching Km6 of National Highway 15D, the container truck suddenly lost control, flipped about 45 degrees compared to the cross-section of the road, occupying the entire roadway and sidewalks on both sides.
The accident left Mr. Ph. slightly injured, dozens of tons of wood fell out of the container, scattered on the negative slope of the road.

According to an officer at the La Lay International Border Guard Station, the road where the accident occurred was narrow and slippery, so vehicles could not move through, causing traffic jams for kilometers for many hours.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by authorities.
