The Muong village here has about 25 households, all from Lac Son district (Hoa Binh province) who came to reclaim and settle down since 1985 - 1986. After more than 30 years of settling here, the Muong people have integrated into the life rhythm with the indigenous Ca Dong, Co... people in Bac Tra My. Over the years, the Muong people have always preserved and promoted the traditional lifestyle and culture as in Hoa Binh province in the new land, together creating the colorful cultural beauty of the Muong community tourism village in the Tra Giang mountain area.

The Independence Day Festival of the Muong people here is held at the Cultural House of Village 3 (Tra Giang Commune) starting with the ritual of carrying offerings to the shrine. After the shaman performs the traditional worship, all local leaders and people offer incense to commemorate Uncle Ho. The shaman represents the village and prays for favorable weather, good crops, and few pests. The ceremony ends with a program of reporting achievements to Uncle Ho performed by the Muong village chief.

After the ceremony, people returned to the traditional house at the end of the Muong village to play folk games such as tug of war, throwing con, bamboo dancing, and playing the Muong flag. People also performed traditional drum and gong dances, sang folk songs, played instruments, and played the flute.

In addition, there will be a competition to prepare typical dishes of the Muong people such as: three-color sticky rice, chicken cooked with bamboo shoots, meat wrapped in grapefruit leaves, cassava bone soup, boiled wild vegetables, grilled rock frogs, rice wine, etc. The prizes for the competitions are local products such as rice wine, duck, chicken, rock frogs, wild bamboo shoots, purple sugarcane, wild vegetables, etc.

Over the years, the Muong community tourism village in Tra Giang has been supported to establish and attract tourists. Many people know this place thanks to its unique identity.
