According to records, since the beginning of July, many groups of tourists, families and young people have come to Ba Dinh Square to visit and take souvenir photos. The traditional Ao Dai, costumes and red flags with yellow stars fluttering under the Ba Dinh sun create a joyful atmosphere to welcome the holiday.

Besides the excitement of talking, laughing, and posing, the atmosphere here is also filled with the hustle and bustle of groups of workers setting up the stage, installing seats, and erecting fences to make the square the most brilliant on the big holiday.

Leaving at 6am to take a souvenir photo at Ba Dinh Square, Ms. Thuy Linh (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) shared: “Every year I take my family to Ba Dinh Square on this occasion to capture memorable moments. Visiting Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum on special days like this makes me feel proud and emotional.”

Not only the capital's residents, but also tourists from other provinces and cities come to join in the atmosphere. Mai Chi's family flew from the South and said: "I took the opportunity to bring my parents to Hanoi for a few days to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum and feel the atmosphere of preparations for Independence Day. This is a very meaningful experience."

Along the path, many photographers are busy taking photos and helping customers pose. Having been taking photos for about 5 years, Mr. Le Van Quy said that the customers are mainly young people, family groups, and even many tourists from the South who fly in to capture special moments. The service price depends on the number of people, at about 850,000 VND/session. After all scheduled sessions, Mr. Quy continues to wait all day at the square to receive more customers, an average of 4-5 sessions per day from early morning to evening, lasting from the beginning of July until now, despite the hot weather.
“During August, there are more customers taking pictures, everyone wants to have a beautiful picture to remember. Our job is to help spread the patriotism of the people and we are happy to see everyone radiant and proud in traditional costumes,” Mr. Quy shared.
