In addition, the authorities of Van Don district have sent samples of the strange candy for examination; at the same time, assigned the market management force to clarify the origin of the candy.

Verification by the authorities showed that the students bought the candies at a grocery store in Cai Rong Town (Van Don District). Previously, the store owner bought the goods from a source in Cam Pha City (Quang Ninh).

Immediately afterwards, all the candy was confiscated and it was found that the candy was packaged in a blue plastic bag with Chinese characters printed on the outside and no Vietnamese subtitles.
