Regarding the case of Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, a member of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang Province, on January 9, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue signed and issued Resolution No. 956 on the dismissal of the XV National Assembly delegate. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (52 years old, former Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the An Giang Provincial People's Procuracy, XV National Assembly delegate) is among the officials of An Giang Province disciplined by the Central Inspection Committee with a warning.
Previously, through inspection when there were signs of violations against the Party Executive Committee of the People's Procuracy of An Giang province, the Central Inspection Committee found that this party organization violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations; did not strictly implement the direction of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity; loosened leadership and direction, lacked inspection and supervision, allowing many lower-level party organizations and party members to violate Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned tasks, especially serious and complicated cases and incidents of public concern. These were violations that lasted for many years but were slow to be detected and handled, causing serious consequences; many cadres and party members in the above agencies were disciplined and criminally prosecuted; causing bad public opinion.
