Ky Anh district (Ha Tinh) identifies organic agricultural production as an inevitable trend, overcoming current limitations in agricultural production.

On the afternoon of May 24, Ky Anh district coordinated with Que Lam Group (Thua Thien - Hue) to organize a seminar on developing organic agriculture, circular agriculture, for community health and ecological environment.

At the seminar, experts from Que Lam Group, leaders of Ky Anh district, along with leaders, officials, members of the Farmers' Association, Women's Union, and youth union members of 20 communes; primary schools, kindergartens, and restaurants in the district discussed, disseminated, and answered questions related to agricultural economic development, organic agriculture, and circular agriculture.

Delegates learned some contents about applying high technology in organic agricultural production, circular agriculture and using plant protection products, veterinary drugs for organic agricultural production to ensure environmental hygiene, helping localities restructure the agricultural sector, produce clean products, protect consumers' health and bring high economic efficiency.

Summarizing the discussion, Secretary of Ky Anh District Party Committee Ho Huy Thanh suggested: in the coming time, localities and units should strengthen propaganda, dissemination, and mobilization of cadres and people to change their awareness from inorganic production practices to organic agricultural production, circular agriculture, and sustainable agriculture; promote the value and benefits of organic agricultural products through direct and indirect forms. Include the content of organic agricultural development in the annual socio-economic development plans of the district and commune.

Pay attention to training and coaching for officials, members and farmers to disseminate knowledge of organic farming, circular agriculture and environmental protection; continue to replicate successful models of applying biological products to organic farming and livestock, focusing on production from household to medium scale.

Continue to expand the application of microbiological technology to treat waste products in cultivation such as straw, organic waste; compost food, treat waste in livestock farming; treat waste in processing agricultural, forestry and fishery products to protect the environment, improve economic efficiency, create a source of organic fertilizer for production to replace chemicals, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics and stimulants that have negative impacts on the environment and public health.
