After 4 years of organization, Quang Nam Creative Startup Festival - TechFest Quang Nam has become the biggest and most anticipated event of the year for the startup community.

Over the years, TechFest Quang Nam has been upgraded in both scale and organization. Notably, in addition to forums and seminars, trade connection activities have increasingly attracted a large number of booths displaying and introducing products from within and outside the province.

As in 2023, TechFest Quang Nam attracted about 300 booths, introducing nearly 1,000 ideas, KN ​​products, OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products, both inside and outside the province.

In addition, large-scale and in-depth seminars, forums, and conferences on the components of the KN ecosystem, with the participation of many central startup support organizations, domestic provinces, experts, consultants, and international and leading KN lecturers in Vietnam.

The leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology believe that each TechFest event opens up many new opportunities, bringing resources closer together. Thereby, building an increasingly developed ecosystem, creating a platform for our innovative KN businesses to take off and reach far.

This year, according to the original plan, Quang Nam will organize the 5th Quang Nam Creative Science Week - TechFest Quang Nam 2024 for 6 days (from May 14 to 18). However, on May 7, the Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch adjusting the organization time.

Accordingly, events and activities of TechFest Quang Nam will take place in May and June. Specifically, the kick-off activities of TechFest Quang Nam 2024 will take place from May 15 to 17 with a series of forums, seminars, and talks.

TechFest Quang Nam 2024 trade connection and investment promotion activities will take place from June 5 to 9 with 330 booths at 24/3 Square (Tam Ky City). The program to honor Quang Nam's startup talents in 2024 will also be held during this time.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the above time adjustment is to suit the work programs of central agencies, international organizations, and the KN community as well as to ensure the safety of outdoor activities according to the recommendations of the hydrometeorological agency.

What is the start-up sequence?

This morning, May 15, in Tam Ky City, a series of activities took place to kick off TechFest Quang Nam 2024. The opening was an international scientific conference with the theme "Developing student entrepreneurship ideas, connecting with businesses, and orienting the training of high-quality human resources domestically and internationally" at Quang Nam College.

Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Anh - Principal of Quang Nam College said that to prepare for the conference, the school has issued a deployment plan to units and individuals inside and outside the school. Thereby attracting a large number of civil servants, employees, experts, scientists, and managers at home and abroad to participate in writing articles.

The editorial board received more than 120 papers. Through the review board, the editorial board selected the papers and edited them into the proceedings. Many of the papers were of high quality, including those presented by representatives of foreign universities and enterprises.

“With the rich content of the presentations, the international scientific conference will provide the right directions in developing students' scientific ideas; connecting with businesses, and orienting the training of high-quality human resources domestically and internationally for educational institutions in our country today” - Ms. Vu Thi Phuong Anh shared.

On the same day, on the afternoon of May 15, at Muong Thanh Hotel (Tam Ky City), the forum "Connecting investment and e-commerce on digital platforms for KN enterprises" took place, chaired by the Department of Planning and Investment, in coordination with the Center for Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (Department of Enterprise Development, Ministry of Planning and Investment), and the Provincial KN Support Steering Committee.

Believing that the forum will bring many values ​​to businesses, especially business skills on e-commerce platforms, Ms. Truong Thi Yen Ngoc - Director of the Center for Investment Promotion and Support of Quang Nam Science and Technology (Department of Planning and Investment) hopes that science and technology enterprises and OCOP entities in the province will actively welcome, attend and implement together, and exchange.

“This forum will help businesses improve their capacity to connect investment, e-commerce, access promotion, and consume products on digital platforms, and apply technological solutions to increase production and business efficiency for businesses,” Ms. Ngoc shared.

On the morning of May 16, the National Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Industry Association will coordinate with the People's Committee of Quang Nam province to organize the 2nd National Congress of Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Industry - Quang Nam 2024 at Phu Long Hotel.

On the final day of the TechFest Quang Nam kick-off activities, the Quang Nam Young Entrepreneurs Club hosted a forum with the theme "New Leadership Thinking".

Regarding this forum, Mr. Phan Ngoc Minh - Chairman of Quang Nam Young Entrepreneurs Club said that the forum's theme emphasizes the issue of changing mindset to update new knowledge and trends so that businesses can keep up with the general development of the times.
