In just 3 days (May 15-17), in Tam Ky City, 2 seminars, 3 forums, 1 talk show took place within the framework of TechFest Quang Nam 2024. Through these events, Quang Nam welcomed dozens of delegations, experts, scientists, organizations, and domestic and foreign businesses to attend.

Large-scale events include the national startup forum “2nd Vietnam Medicinal Herbs and Cosmetics - Quang Nam 2024”; the international scientific conference “Developing startup ideas for students, connecting with businesses, orienting training of high-quality human resources domestically and internationally”; the Vietnamese Entrepreneurs seminar “New leadership thinking”… The activities are meaningful, especially creating opportunities for exchange, trade promotion, and cooperation in startups.

Coming from A Luoi district (Thua Thien Hue province), Ms. Tran Thi Bich May (owner of Hanaalfood brand) said that this was the first time she brought her products to Quang Nam to promote and introduce. Ms. May's wish is to exchange and connect with businesses in Quang Nam.

“Our products are developed based on local resources, notably ready-to-eat pork and beef jerky. In addition, depending on the season, we launch many other typical products. Quang Nam is a locality with a strong startup movement. This is an opportunity for us to learn and find partners for development,” Ms. May shared.

At the national startup forum “2nd Vietnamese Medicinal Herbs and Cosmetics - Quang Nam 2024”, Mr. Tran Van Tuan’s company from Hanoi introduced to customers and partners outstanding medicinal herbs products under the brand name “Tue Chau”. The representative of this company also gave a speech on “Digital transformation to develop medicinal herbs and traditional medicine to the ocean”.

According to Mr. Tuan, to realize the vision and mission of preserving and developing Vietnamese medicine to reach the world, "Tue Chau" must apply technology, digitalization, digital transformation, big data and AI to integrate and keep up with global trends.

“Coming to Quang Nam this time, our company hopes to find partners to develop Ngoc Linh ginseng together through raw materials and available remedies, while also collaborating with scientists to research and apply modern production technology,” said Mr. Tuan.

Develop business thinking and skills

The topics and content of many forums and seminars that have just taken place focus on supporting entities and startups in developing business thinking and skills.

As at the forum "Connecting investment and e-commerce on digital platforms", most of the program's time was spent by the organizers for experts to "practice" e-commerce skills and livestream sales for businesses.

Along with the theory, e-commerce experts from Eco Academy directly instructed businesses on livestream sales skills. This brought excitement, attracting businesses to experience and get used to livestreaming.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nga - Director of Phuoc Ky An Company Limited, said: "I have participated in promoting and introducing products through many channels, but have never tried livestreaming to sell products.

The knowledge and skills shared by experts at the forum are very practical and specific, helping business owners, farmers or anyone who wants to sell products to try their hand. In the coming time, our business will invest more heavily in e-commerce channels."

Believing that livestreaming costs little but reaches a large customer base, Mr. Nguyen Quan - an e-commerce expert from Eco Academy - advised Quang Nam businesses to grasp the skills and immediately conduct livestream sales, especially on platforms such as Tiktok, Facebook, etc.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese business seminar "New Leadership Thinking" is a major event organized by the Quang Nam Young Business Club, bringing values ​​and impacts to the thinking, thinking and actions of businessmen.

With his experience and wisdom, Mr. Hoang Binh Quan - former Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Committee, Honorary President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association was invited as a speaker at the seminar and gave useful advice to entrepreneurs.

According to Mr. Hoang Binh Quan, entrepreneurs need to have a new mindset, which is the mindset of adapting, changing, and not standing outside the development of the world economy; otherwise, they will miss the "train"... "When the Vietnamese economic boat sets sail, if businesses do not understand the rules of the game, do not know how to "swim" and are not good at "swimming", how can they compete?" - Mr. Quan raised the question.

Mr. Phan Ngoc Minh - Chairman of Quang Nam Young Entrepreneurs Club, said: "There is no concept of "new leadership" but we need to change our thinking to update new knowledge and trends so that businesses can keep up with the general development of the times.
