The Krong Pach Thuong Reservoir Project Phase 1 is a key project of Dak Lak province, with a total investment of over VND 4,400 billion. The project has effectively reduced floods, improved the ecological environment, irrigated and created water sources for over 8,000 hectares, creating sources for the daily life of 73,000 people in the eastern districts of Dak Lak province.
Delegates pressed the button to inaugurate the first phase of the Krong Pach Thuong reservoir.
“To achieve today’s results, the province had to reclaim more than 370 hectares of land of all kinds and many ethnic minority households had to relocate, abandon their houses and land that had existed for a long time to hand over the construction site. This is a great sacrifice of the ethnic minorities in the project area. The completion of the project is not only the joy of the people in the area but also the result of the attention and investment of the Party and the State and also demonstrates the people’s trust in the Party, the State and the local government,” Mr. Nguyen Thien Van shared.
Dak Lak province pledges to make maximum use of the Krong Pach Thuong irrigation project.
After many years of construction, with the strong direction and determination of the entire political system from the central to local levels; the consensus of the people and the efforts of the contractors to complete phase 1 of the project, ensuring water storage for the reservoir, promoting the effectiveness of the project.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that all people in the project area will be responsible for preserving and protecting the project, exploiting and using water resources reasonably. At the same time, he respectfully hopes that the Party and State leaders will continue to pay attention and invest in new projects in Dak Lak province, contributing to the local socio-economic development to stabilize people's lives.
