Dr. Architect Vuong Hai Long (Head of the Faculty of Architecture) said that at Hanoi University of Architecture, students not only study in class but also in the design studio system. This is a training environment with many outstanding advantages compared to traditional lecture halls.

Here, students learn the skills of an architect, meet many like-minded friends, and especially connect naturally and closely with their teachers.

Students are like “colleagues” of their teachers, learning from them about working spirit, creative inspiration, passion for the work they are pursuing… At the system of 7 workshops of the Faculty of Architecture, teachers are always companions, suggesting and helping students discover and find their own strengths.

Teachers are also the ones who bring domestic and international competitions to students, helping students feel the "breath" of architecture in contemporary life.

Students are equipped with in-depth knowledge

According to Dr. Architect Vuong Hai Long, the Faculty of Architecture always focuses on training programs that approach international standards but in a multidisciplinary integration direction. Students are provided with basic and in-depth knowledge of the profession, and access to many modern soft skills (BIM technology; smart management software, etc.).

Students also have good use of design software, graphics, office computer skills, film editing, AR, VR, etc., creating conditions for creativity and career development. From there, aiming to train advanced architects, integrating with the region and internationally.

Students, right from their school days, can master concepts, principles, design solutions, technical requirements, standards, regulations, etc. in the field of architecture, as well as issues related to professional practice.

At the Faculty of Architecture, students are exposed to projects from a very early age. The first projects often help students, even though they are only in their first year, to have the most intuitive, multi-dimensional, and realistic view of the profession.

Confidently take on many positions after graduation

After graduation, young architects can confidently take on many job positions in different environments such as at national, regional and local policy-making agencies; state management agencies at all levels; research institutes; basic construction investment project management boards; corporations and construction enterprises...

Participate in big competitions, exciting cultural and sports playground

Every year, the teachers and students of the Faculty of Architecture enthusiastically participate in many competitions and continuously bring home great awards. Most recently, at the Asian Young Designers Competition - AYDA, students of the Faculty of Architecture proudly won 1 First Prize and 5 Third Prizes. Among them, Tran Khoa Thanh from Class 19K6 is one of two Vietnamese representatives attending the Continental Round in July.

In other competitions such as the Green Architecture Award, the National Architecture Student Festival, etc., students always win high prizes. In addition to specialized Workshops and Talkshows, students of the Faculty of Architecture also have an endless passion for sports and arts, enthusiastically participating in movements of the Faculty Union and the school such as: Volunteer Program, Welcome to New Students, Architecture Tet Festival, Architecture Christmas, etc.

In addition, academic clubs run by students themselves are also very developed at the Faculty. Student Dam Ngoc Thanh Van (18K4, Head of the Young Architects Club) shared: "The club always wants to inspire, bring joy and love for the profession to all students, especially first-year students who are still vague about the profession through Talkshows and specialized Workshops" .

Welcoming the 2023 University Admissions Season, the Faculty of Architecture has expanded its application group. In addition to the previous V00 group, this year it includes the V01 and V02 groups, combined with the aptitude test scores. This affirms the importance of the architectural profession to the development of society, as well as increasing the entry opportunities for candidates who are passionate about this potential field of study.
