On August 9, at the Cultural - Sports - Community Learning Center of Dat Mui commune, the Trade Union of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy organized a program to examine and provide free medicine to people from poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in the area.
The school's medical team measured blood pressure, performed clinical examinations, performed electrocardiograms, diagnosed and provided treatment advice for some common diseases; at the same time, provided free medicine, and provided guidance on health care methods and prevention of common diseases.
People have their blood pressure measured before seeing a doctor.
On this occasion, Binh Tan Company Limited and Kieu Giang Dental Company Limited presented 30 gifts to disadvantaged students in the commune. The total cost of the program was about 80 million VND.
After the medical examination, people also receive free medicine.
The activity contributes to supporting people in remote areas to access medical services and raise awareness of community health care.
