On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), Nhan Dan Newspaper organized a special information session with elaborate and methodical preparation, built a column "Heroic army of a heroic nation" on Nhan Dan Newspaper every day, launched the In-depth Knowledge page of the Vietnam People's Army on Nhan Dan Electronic with 2 carefully invested contents: famous battles and talented generals of the Vietnam People's Army...

The highlight of the special information session celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army by Nhan Dan Newspaper is the interactive exhibition "Famous battles, talented generals", opening on the afternoon of December 18 at the headquarters at 71 Hang Trong.

The interactive exhibition “Famous Battles, Talented Generals” praises the glorious feats of the heroic Vietnam People's Army and honors the talented generals of the “invincible” army.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that, aware of the responsibility of the leading Party newspaper of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in propagating important events of the country, in 2024, Nhan Dan Newspaper organized many special information campaigns, many new press and media products with strong influence such as Special Supplement and interactive exhibition of panorama paintings of Dien Bien Phu campaign; Special Supplement and interactive exhibition of Hanoi Flag Tower...

According to Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh, Nhan Dan Newspaper has closely coordinated with the Institute of Military History to ensure that information about generals and typical battles is conveyed accurately and specifically.

Introducing the special page about the Vietnam People's Army on Nhan Dan e-newspaper, Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh stated that this is a rare press product that conveys in detail and fully about the Vietnam People's Army, from general articles to detailed content about the history of formation, famous battles, talented generals and the process of our army's modernization.

“The interactive exhibition “Famous Battles, Talented Generals” is an effort by Nhan Dan Newspaper to create a new experience, serve and attract the public better. We believe that if we boldly innovate and communicate creatively, traditional and historical values ​​will become closer and more accessible to the younger generation,” said comrade Le Quoc Minh.

Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc, Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, said that the interactive exhibition "Famous battles, talented generals", held at the headquarters of Nhan Dan Newspaper, is an important highlight, with profound value, spreading the noble values ​​of the historical tradition of building and defending the country of our nation, the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Army and the art of war of the Vietnamese people.

“The exhibition was elaborately invested in, praising the heroic feats through typical battles in the wars of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland of our army and people, which have become symbols of revolutionary heroism, vividly depicting the portraits of talented generals of the Vietnam People's Army - people who have gone down in history, making important contributions to the cause of defending the Fatherland,” Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc emphasized.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc also expressed his belief that through the exhibition, people will have a deeper understanding of the nation's history and the glorious tradition of our army, a revolutionary army born from the people, fighting for the people, an army that "dares to fight, knows how to fight and knows how to win".

Huge amounts of historical information conveyed through a new interactive format

Sharing about the process of accompanying Nhan Dan Newspaper during the exhibition, Colonel Le Thanh Bai, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Military History Institute, said: The Vietnam Military History Institute accompanied Nhan Dan Newspaper to select the most typical generals and battles; thereby portraying the image of the Vietnam People's Army as a fighting army, a working and producing army.

“In order to convey a huge amount of historical information through a new interactive form, we have tried to provide the most accurate, general and concise information. The way Nhan Dan Newspaper has done it in recent times has really attracted a large number of readers,” comrade Le Thanh Bai emphasized.

Through visual maps, sounds, and scientifically presented documents, visitors will have an interesting experience and easily grasp information about famous and landmark battles such as: Viet Bac Campaign (1947), Dien Bien Phu Campaign (1954), Tay Nguyen Campaign (1975), Ho Chi Minh Campaign (1975), etc.

Technology-loving tourists can scan the QR code integrated into each painting and battle diagram to experience more information and visual images of famous battles and the marks of talented generals in the nation's history.

Coming to the exhibition, viewers have the opportunity to admire a series of portraits of 20 talented generals of the Vietnam People's Army by artist Do Hoang Tuong using watercolor techniques on paper. The works vividly depict portraits of talented generals such as General Vo Nguyen Giap, General Nguyen Chi Thanh, General Le Trong Tan, General Hoang Van Thai, General Le Duc Anh, etc.

Painter Do Hoang Tuong expressed that each brush stroke and each color he painted carried with it feelings of respect, admiration and pride when recreating the images of people who made the heroic history of the country.
