With a scale of 80 booths, the Exhibition of OCOP products, handicrafts and craft villages of Thanh Tri district 2024 is organized to support enterprises, rural industrial establishments, artisans in Hanoi city in general and Thanh Tri district in particular to display, promote, and introduce local traditional craft products, OCOP products, and traditional craft village products.

This will be an opportunity to create links between artisans, young design teams with entrepreneurial spirit to promote local cultural advantages, economic development aspirations of the community in traditional craft villages in districts and towns; create an environment to implement activities to support rural industrial establishments, craft village production and business entities to form and develop creative design activities, introduce, promote and sell OCOP products, craft villages associated with the development of experiential tourism forms contributing to restructuring the economy of rural areas in the city.

The 2024 Exhibition of OCOP products, handicrafts and craft villages of Thanh Tri district is expected to contribute to enhancing the value of handicrafts, OCOP products, craft villages of the capital in general and of Thanh Tri district in particular. At the same time, building a chain of links from creative design, production - processing, consumption of products in the domestic and international tourist markets on the basis of preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values ​​of craft villages associated with community tourism activities, agricultural and rural tourism in the circular economy, contributing to the implementation of the National Target Program on new rural construction in the period of 2021-2025.

Within the framework of the exhibition, Thanh Tri District People's Committee will launch the construction of a cashless payment street, contributing to promoting sustainable and convenient economic development, creating transparency in spending and transactions.

Hanoi has over 1,350 craft villages and villages with crafts, converging most of the traditional crafts of the country. Craft village products are diverse in design, type, good quality, many products are exported to high-quality markets such as Japan, the US, the EU, Dubai and some Asian and Southeast Asian countries, promoting the increase in the proportion of industrial production value, small-scale industry and services, solving and creating many jobs for suburban workers, contributing to the sustainable development of the capital's economy and society.

In recent years, the Central Government and Hanoi City have issued many policies to support the development of craft villages through effective implementation of national and local trade promotion and industrial promotion programs, actively contributing to the transformation of economic structure, labor structure, and job creation in suburban rural areas.

Thanh Tri District is an ancient land located in the South of the Capital. Thanh Tri has a long history of development and a unique historical and cultural tradition. In addition to its rich cultural heritage, Thanh Tri District also preserves many relic clusters and relics ranked as historical and cultural revolutionary relics. This place is also the hometown of many national cultural celebrities and is also famous for many traditional products.

Thanh Tri district has 8 traditional craft villages including: vermicelli, rice paper in Phu Dien village, Huu Hoa commune; banh chung, banh day in Tranh Khuc village, Duyen Ha commune; Trieu Khuc weaving, Tan Trieu commune; Vinh Thinh conical hat in Dai Ang commune; bamboo and rattan weaving in village 3, Van Phuc commune; Ngau wine in Tam Hiep commune; Vinh Trung sewing in Dai Ang commune and confectionery production in Noi Am village, Lien Ninh commune.

Exhibition of OCOP products, handicrafts and craft villages of Thanh Tri district 2024 takes place until May 28, 2024 at the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Thanh Tri district.
