Keysight Certified Automation Tool

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên23/05/2023

UWB, a short-range low-power wireless technology, is rapidly being adopted for secure near-field connectivity and location data mining services in smartphones and industrial Internet of Things (IoT) devices. To take advantage of these new market opportunities, semiconductor and device manufacturers need to validate their components against FiRa to ensure compliance with UWB standards.

Keysight Technologies is developing a wide range of automated test solutions.

Using Keysight's automated test solution built around the M9415A VXT PXI Vector Transceiver with powerful PathWave Vector Signal Analysis (VSA) capabilities, X-Series Measurement Applications (X-apps) and signal generation capabilities, design engineers can perform UWB measurements including frequency, time and amplitude domain analysis, as well as antenna characterization and system-level testing.

The test solution builds on Keysight's expertise in radio frequency (RF) and microwave technologies to map angle of arrival (AoA) using the VXT universal over-the-air (OTA) transceiver platform.

"Keysight is proud to support the FiRa Consortium's efforts in advancing UWB, which is increasingly important for a wide range of applications including asset tracking, location-based services and secure access control," said Peng Cao, vice president and general manager of Keysight's Wireless Test Group. "Our FiRa Consortium-validated vector transceiver-based test tool will help customers quickly and easily test UWB devices to ensure compliance with FiRa physical layer specifications."
