Accordingly, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in November is estimated at VND552,700 billion, up 1.4% over the previous month and up 10.1% over the same period last year.

Retail sales of goods in the first 11 months of this year alone are estimated at VND4,420,000 billion, accounting for 78% of the total and increasing by 8.6% over the same period last year (excluding the price increase of 6.8%). Of which, the group of cultural and educational items increased by 14.7%; food and foodstuffs increased by 11.4%; clothing increased by 7.6%; household appliances, tools and equipment increased by 6.3%; and means of transport (excluding cars) decreased by 3.3%.

Retail sales of goods in the first 11 months of 2023 compared to the same period last year in some localities are as follows: Quang Ninh increased by 12.4%; Binh Duong increased by 10.8%; Khanh Hoa increased by 10.7%; Hai Phong increased by 9.9%; Can Tho increased by 9.4%; Dong Nai increased by 8.5%; Ho Chi Minh City increased by 7%; Hanoi increased by 6.7%; Da Nang increased by 6.2%.

The General Statistics Office also said that in the first 11 months of 2023, revenue from accommodation and catering services was estimated at VND616 trillion, accounting for 10.9% of the total and up 15.3% over the same period last year. In addition, revenue from tourism and travel was estimated at VND34 trillion, accounting for 0.6% of the total and up 50.5% over the same period last year, as localities have actively implemented many tourism products, cultural and sports activities since the beginning of the year to stimulate tourism demand. Revenue from other services was estimated at VND597 trillion, accounting for 10.5% of the total and up 10.6% over the same period last year.
